TV Dramas

The TV series 'Lovejoy' was enjoyed by many.  Ian McShane played the 'lovable rogue' in the widely-distributed TV series The Lovejoy Mysteries, which was originally filmed in 1986, then brought back by popular demand in 1990.

The series was based on the shady dealing of antiques expert Lovejoy, who never revealed his first name. He was an antiques dealer with a difference. The series set out to entertain and was a popular Sunday night staple viewing for many years. It was set in the idyllic rural countryside of East Anglia with its cottages and villages. Sizewell Hall was used for some of the location filming.

The BBC's Songs of Praise has featured Sizewell Hall, as have other BBC and ITV programmes.
