What to do

We are situated on the lovely Suffolk Coast near to Minsmere Nature Reserve.  Various other local places of interest include, Aldeburgh, Dunwich, Orford and Snape.   Southwold has been the setting for many TV dramas and is well worth a visit, also see the newly constructed pier.

The  Mere, at Thorpeness, has rowing boats and canoes available to hire.  Various craft shops are of particular interest too.

Sutton Hoo, the recently opened project to document Anglo Saxon Britain is only about 35 minutes from Sizewell and is a fascinating place for all ages.

There are historic sites to visit in the area, Leiston Long Shop Museum & The Abbey ruins are both within a very short distance of the Hall.

A local Swimming pool in Leiston and of course the Sea are very near for that early morning swim.

For youth groups, there are many things to do in the area; archery, cycle hire, golf & horse riding.   Suffolk Wildlife Park at Lowestoft, together with Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park are only 45 minutes away.

If you are still at a loss to know what to do, visit the Suffolk County website for ideas.
